Now there’s no excuse for a boring presentation
Blaming PowerPoint for producing tedious presentations, is like blaming a pen for writing boring copy.
The expression death by PowerPoint refers to the experience an audience is subjected to, when a presenter shows slide after slide of data or line after line of copy. A slide presentation isn’t an excuse for a data dump. Too much information is counterproductive, overwhelming your audience will confuse and irritate them.
Ultimately PowerPoint, Keynote or any other presentation software, is just a tool. In the right hands it can help create stunning presentations. In the hands of someone with limited design skills, the end result can be embarrassing.
